"The Sum total of the evidence in the scriptures may be found in two verses of the Book of Acts. Acts 2: 44, 45 reads: 'And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.' If we interpret the phrase 'all things common' as meaning that they pooled everything together and placed title in the group, then the next verse is a direct contradition; for it says they went ahead and sold their proprties so as to have the means of helping those in need."
